It great my dog feel safe and still able to roam and also comfortably thanks

I am very pleased! My dog lets me put it on and no more choking when we go for walks.

We love this harness! I bought a medium for my lab corgi mix and it fits perfect. She unfortunately is dog aggressive and was slipping her collars on walks so I needed something to give me better control of her for training and to keep everyone safe. I'm happy I didn't go with a cheaper harness. This one is great quality and worth every penny.

We just adopted a rescue dog. She's a 2 year old, 29# but very strong beagle/terrier mix. She didn't have much experience walking on a leash, so I expected some pulling but she was pulling me down the side walk! I was having trouble controlling her on walks and she was starting to hurt my hands/back. I got a regular back-clipping harness so she wouldn't pull on her neck with the collar but she was still pulling horribly. I bought this harness, clipped in the front and immediately she stopped pulling! The first walk was a bit awkward for her because she wanted to pull but couldn't. Now she walks like a dream on it! Well worth it! The harness itself is very sturdy with much more structure than just a regular flimsy harness. It has a clip in front and back and a nice handle to grab on to if you need to control your dog quickly. The straps took a bit of work to adjust the first time because they are stiff, but I like that it doesn't stretch out while she's using it. My dog puts her head right through to put it on and doesn't mind wearing it while running around the yard after our walks.

My youngest German Shepherd pulls like crazy on our walks. This harness arrived today, so we tried it out and it worked wonderfully. She still pulls, but not nearly as much. For once, it didnt feel like my arm was getting pulled from the socket. It put her off-center enough that I could walk both dogs very comfortably. Now we can take more walks. The harness fits closely, no gaps to escape from. More like a vest than a harness. Very clever design. It slides over the head and then clicks on both sides. No need to pull up a leg to put it on. Shes 31 and 55 pounds. The large fits her great with room to grow or shrink.

Love it! Originally ordered a size medium, just based on purchases in the past, but ended up just too small. Excellent customer service and quick responses helped me get the right size in about a week! The large fits her just perfect. She is an almost 3 year old Aussie, but has a LOT of fluff, so I think the large really accommodates that. Ha! Wonderful quality and easy to use, LOVE that it has two lead clips. Even using the regular one on the back, she already pulls less with a new harness. Will definitely recommend!

I tried several combo no pull harnesses for my Jack Russell terrier (who has hardly any chest). This one seems to work the best but I wish it had a larger handle on top. It would be nice to be able to have a handle that fits whole hand instead of a few fingers. At first I thought the leash connector rings were plastic and feared they would break, but now they are looking more like metal and I feel more secure with that.I'm still adjusting the fit as its getting broken in, and with the JRT, it really has to be snug or there is potential she could slip one of her short little legs through an opening. In general, the low ring in front on this sturdy semi-rigid harness, suppresses her pulling strength the best out of the many harnesses I've bought and tried. She is obeying the Heel command a lot better and we are on our way to a loose leash dog walk.I recommend this harness to those who have been looking for the ideal combination harness.

I bought this harness for my Australian Shepard puppy who thinks she is a sled dog when we go for a walk. The first time I took her for a walk with this harness, she couldnt pull nearly as hard as before. When she pulls, the harness lifts to the side you are walking on and lifts the front leg, making it extremely difficult to pull and walk at the same time. By the end of the walk, she had given up and was walking on the leash nicely. Another feature I like is the handle on the back. When she sees a car, she immediately bolts after it. Grabbing the handle and redirecting her attention is easy due to the leverage gained with the handle. The harness is pretty easy to put on. My dogs chest measured 19 so I bought a medium so she wouldnt grow out of it so fast. Cinched down almost all the way makes the harness fit perfectly. It seems well made. Before buying this harness I didnt even want to take my dog for a walk because she pulled so much. Now it is a breeze! If you have a pulling dog, definitely buy this!

It is a soft, adjustable, lightweight, sturdy no pull harness! I have a large yellow lab and this harness fits like a glove and it is strong! I love the nylon webbing with the reflective material. The two leash attachments work really well depending on whether we are walking or going from the house to the car. Tito loves it and stands perfectly still when I put it on. Also, the support staff and sellers are professional, communicate quickly, empathetic, and awesome!!! I will definitely buy from you again! THANK YOU!!!

Very high-quality harness! A lot of different adjustment points to help achieve the best fit. Fit my 57 lb female pitbull perfectly!
Cristina
I ordered this harness when I saw it had a double clip feature. My Labrador gets stronger and bigger everyday and since she is still a puppy sometimes loses focus during walks, and pulls and lunges if she see 'prey' animals or other dogs playing. The back clip harnesses I had when she was smaller ,made the problem worse since it concentrate the dog strength into a single point which gives the dog more power and makes harder to control. The front clip changes the dog center of gravity and gently turn the dog without causing pain. It's a great training tool (although if your dog still resist the training- it won't happen in a minute-you may be better off with a head collar). This harness once fitted is very easy to put on and take off, it takes a bit of patience to fit the straps because they don't slide easily, which make it safe from unwanted slip off.The back clip is very useful in the car with a seat beltI washed multiple times in the washer (my dog loves lay down in mud and puddles) and air dried it.So far is the best harness I tried. If needed I will buy it again.

I am pretty sure I'll have to buy a larger size in a few months, but this was exactly what I was looking for for my 5 month Anatolian shepherd-lab mix. I needed something easy to slip on in the mornings, and this was so easy to get on him compared to the last harness I had once I had it sized correctly, but also something to stop pulling. I've only had it for a day, so I may need to update later, but I wasn't struggling to hold him back this evening walk. It felt sturdy too. The last harness I had, it constantly felt like it was going to break loose at any moment. It's very reflective. I didn't expect that with it being purple. I just thought it was advertising. It's also very pretty.

This is a really well made harness! Price is good, seller has been awesome. Shipped quickly. I have a 5mo golden retriever and needed the chest ring to work on his ability to walk with me. Golden retrievers are very smart and friendly but busy goof-balls. As dogs feel more comfortable with things they know are theirs, it is good to have a harness that is going to last! I would buy from this seller again.

This is the BEST harness! My dog weighs 87lbs, and is a lab/rott mix. The XL fit her perfectly. This goes on easy, and the handle is wonderful for extra control.

I bought this leash weeks ago and have taken my 85 lb dog for numerous walks using the standard shoulder-area ring, and he's a chronic puller. He's a rescue and we're still trying to train him and break him of a few bad habits, like the pulling. I decided to finally try the chest ring instead and it's crazy how well it works. No pulling at all. The least has to route back to the human from the dog's side (left or right) and pulling results in turning to the side and appears to cause minor discomfort for the dog at the front leg 'armpit' area. I will be continuing to attach to the chest, and I wonder if the dog won't get used to it after one or two more walks and resort to pulling again (Old English Bulldogs are even more stubborn than standard English Bullies). Either way, I'd recommend this harness. We've had numerous dogs over the years and have tried 5 or 6 different harnesses and so far this is the best one we've owned. Will likely buy another for our other bully, who also pulls but weights significantly less than the OE.

We have tried tons of harnesses and my Houdini has almost or completely escaped them. This one feels soooo secure. Very sturdy, and affordable too. I ordered the wrong size and the company sent me another with no issue. It also has room for me to place her little escape tracker device which is great!

It works!!! My dog would have pulled a truck if he could, while choking himself to death with a common collar and leash. This harness solved the problem, I am attaching the leash to the front ring which stops my dog from pulling. He is still confused and tries to 'jump' the obstacle, but walks slow an can't pull me to the ground. Once he gets used to walking instead of running like a madman, I will start using the ring on top of his back to attach the leash and see how that goes.

The harness is very sturdy and very easy to put on. My dog gets super excited about walks and we had no issues getting it on him (as you can see in the video, he doesnt mind wearing it at all!). I like that it has two places to hook the leash, because sometimes my dog can escape harnesses when the leash is hooked to the front. I also love that it has reflectors on it, especially in these winter months when it gets dark out so early. The company was great about answering my questions and helping me get the right size too!

did not believe the other reviews but thought i would try it anyway n wow!!! does this work!! my 85 lb golden doodle took me on a twice daily drag around my neighborhood. i tried everything n a trainer and just couid not stop the pulling. our first walk n what a difference! does not seem to hurt or bother him, but if he starts to pull (i use the front chest loop) the leash touches his right leg and he immediately stops pulling! he has a 32 chest so i got xl n tightened the straps as needed. also very pretty teal color, not sure the reflective part shows because he has longish hair. but ordering matching leash now so will have some reflection. n since we niece walked in a civilized n polite way, we can look pretty.

I used to hate walking my pug because he pulls me down the street. This harness is perfect and fixed the problem. I cannot believe how well it works! He also likes to lag behind and go at his own pace and I can pull him forward without much effort. I bought the size medium for my 30 lb pug and it barely fits around his chest. I did measure him at 24 inches and thought a medium (size 27) would be a little loose, but if he gains a pound, it goes to his little fur sister. Make sure you order a size up if you have a pug or bulldog. I can still comfortably fit 2 fingers under the harness so Im keeping it. Hes just fat. Maybe my measuring fabric tape is a little off, but order a size larger than what you think youll need for a well rounded breed.

The product is very well made and more adjustable than I anticipated. It has a comfortable feel to the material and stitching that I'm sure our dog appreciates! He gets super excited when we get ready to put it on him where with the old harness we had he would do his best to avoid it. It seems to be sturdy and durable too and the no pull loop for the leash that's on the chest plate works great. It runs true to size of not a little bigger than expected. We purchased an XL for our large Goldendoodle and had to adjust it down a bit. I would recommend to anyone!

I just received this harness tonight. It was difficult for me to figure out how to loosen the chest straps, but once I did, it was a perfect fit for my yellow lab (XL) and pug mix (M). They seem to be of high quality and I love the way they sit on their bodies. My yellow lab has sensitive skin and her last harness rubbed on her armpits, causing red, swollen sores. This harness does not sit even close to her armpits for that to happen. Knock on wood that once she gets moving, it stays that way!(I will update my review once I start taking her out for walks)

A harness that doesn't chafe, woohoo! I got this for my foster dog who is the one of the tallest labs I've met. He's not at all overweight, but just so big. The largest size barely fits around the belly, but fully extended it does. The neck has lots of room. It doesn't chafe under his front legs which is what I was hoping for. He is not a well bred lab and has a thin, sensitive coat prone to chafe. This harness doesn't feel like it's extra tough, and I don't think it would hold up to any chewing, but it did hold up when he saw a squirrel and pulled with all 108 lbs of his weight!

We decided to buy a larger dog this go around and since my wife is small in stature i figured this would help. She started taking him for evening walks and where he once would pull and tug with a regular collar he has responded very well using this harness. It also makes for a great harness to take him in the vehicles since we can secure him with the seat belts so he cannot get out a window. Needless to say my wife is happy because she can enjoy walking him and the dog is doing very well and seems to like it.

I didn't think I would get great non-pulling results from a harness, I'll be honest, but this has been great! I trained her originally with a gentle leader, and she learned to not mind it, but she much preferred to not have things on her head. I bought this harness mostly because I wanted a handle I could hold on to when we were in crowded places, like parades and farmers markets, to keep our Irish Wolfhound puppy close to us. Turns out when I clip the leash to the front of the harness our puppy responds well and pulls very little! She just turned 8 months old and when we walk my 4 year old holds on to the handle on the harness and I walk her with the front clip. It - Is- Awesome! Also, I love the pink color! I love that it's mostly pink rather than black with some pink accents.

Great for my Husky/Pyrenees pup. Fits great with room to expand as she continues to grow, doesn't chafe or rub the fur off and she wears it from wake-up to bedtime every day. The handle is strong enough that I've been able to lift her entirely off the ground over tree trunks and big rocks on challenging hiking trails, with no sign of threads fraying and didn't cause her any discomfort when she was being lifted. I definitely recommend this for anyone who does a lot of outdoor activities with their dog. I've seen a lot of harnesses but this one has the best design and construction, and considerably less expensive than lesser quality harnesses at the local chain pet store.
Patricia
Well made harness! The adjustable straps makes it easy to custom fit it to your dog/puppy. When adjusted properly, my puppy cannot walk out of it! It doesnt pull or pinch in the armpits. I bought this in a small for my 9 week old Aussie. He weighs 12 pounds and staulky built. He will out grow it in no time though. I should have bought a medium.
April C.
Great fitting harness and super easy to put on. It looks really good on my dogs and is a high quality product. The only thing I would make differently if given the option are the adjustable straps around the chest. If you have a smaller dog and adjust the size down, the straps are hanging a bit at the arms. It would be nice if there was a loop on the strap to put the excess into, so that the dogs arms don't hit it as they walk. Not a huge deal, and my dogs are medium size so there isn't too much excess, but it would be a nicer finish if the excess straps were held up.

Got size small for my 2 mo corgi. I had to tighten it down all the way and it barely fits. But it works and he will have plenty of room to grow into it. I love the handle on the back and how it is fully adjustable. My dog doesn't mind putting it on, it's super fast after the first fitting, and I can clip easily clip him into the seat belt in the car.

This dog harness is GREAT! It is very substantial and, after you have all of the straps adjusted, it goes on easily. The handle on the top is a very useful feature and such a good idea. I highly recommend this harness regardless of the size of your dogs. We are using it for beagles, welch corgis and a Great Pyrenees. Recommended to me by a friend with an Australian shepherd.

We had previously gone through 5 other harness that either broke or our dog chewed through. We have a 70 pound black lab/german shepherd mix. The harness is so easy to put on, and she willingly sticks her head through the hole now because she knows that means she gets to go outside. The harness is also comfy enough for her that she doesn't try to chew it up, and sometimes will have it on for hours. I like the handle on the back so we can hold her close if need be. I also feel she pulls less when I attach the leash to the front of the harness.

I have a very strong cute little jerk of a Corgi Brat. I've been trying to better his leash manners for all 5 years of his life... but learning is not his forte. I've tried numerous collars, harnesses and leashes and none have worked as well as this one. This is even better than the gentle leader for my guy! I'm impressed, hopefully it continues to work for us. As long as I hook his leash on the front hook by his chest it really does keep him from pulling. If/when he does try it turns his body and stops him in his tracks.
Derrik Ammons
There was no compromise in quality when they made this product. The stitching and material is very sturdy. The quick release buckles feel to be top quality; thick plastic and solid lock in. I love the handle part on top. It gives us good control of our dog when other dogs walk by. I think it was a great idea to have hookups at the top and bottom. We only use the top with the leash, but the bottom is a good option if you keep your dog tied down. The back is adjustable and sits perfectly on our dog. The only complaint I have would be the top part that goes around the neck. It would be nice if that had a quick release buckle as well. Perhaps that design would make it less sturdy. But, it's a pain to get this thing around the neck of a 10 month old husky excited for a walk. We are working on it.

I have an 85lb lab mix and while we both love to walk, he took it to a whole other sport with his vigorous pulling on the leash. Not so much fun for me, his 60 year old female owner. I have tried several different collars, a head halter (which he hated) and even a leash/collar combo where the leash clips to the collar, then loops around the dogs ribcage and slides through another ring on the collar at the back of his neck; all to no avail! I did some reading on no pull harnesses and came across this one, read the reviews, and ordered it. When it came I adjusted the fit (very easy!), slipped it on (even easier!) and off we went on a test walk. It was a walk totally enjoyed by both of us because there was NO pulling! The slight natural(!) tension of the leash clipped to the CHEST clip simply stopped my dog from pulling when he felt it. In our case, this IS a simply amazing product!!! I am looking forward to enjoyable and RELAXING walks from here on out.

I have bought this exact harness 3x! Love it we have two dogs and 10 harness later this is the one. Dont waste $ on any other kind. the only reason I bought a 3rd was my dog ate the clip off hers one day while i was at work. she pulled it from the table and she thought it was a chew toy. Which speaks more about her chewing than the harness. It is incredibly durable! And comfy she doesnt try to wiggle out of it.
sparks_red
I love the quality, the padding and that they are a bit more substantial than a lot of harnesses. The only change I would even suggest is that the neck also had attachment clips. If you have a head shy pet like my rescue it will take some time to get them use to this. My only suggestion is that if you are considering purchasing this harness is to measure your furkid first. We are very happy with this purchase.

I used it for first time and first walk with my 4 month old puppy. At first he stopped but I would pull the leash upwards and after 2 tugs he began to walk. Perfect harness I got a size Large like other German Shepherd owners on the reviews. I love it. Looks good seems durable.
Kylie Morris
Awesome harness. We needed something for everyday use as well as outdoor adventures. The bright color (green) and handle are perfect for our hikes in the woods. Shes a climber so the handle is great for when she gets herself in sticky situations. The bright color somehow makes people think shes a service dog even though theres no other markings on the harness, but thats alright since I take her everywhere anyways and some peoples children dont know its rude not to ask to pet your dog..The only minor issue we had was how difficult it was to tighten the front straps of the harness. She kept slipping one leg out and even though it looked hilarious, it wasnt safe and eventually we were able to get the right fit on her broad lil shoulders. She runs, walks and even sleeps in this harness and Im very glad I chose this one. I can tell this harness will be around for a while.

I have purchased at least 3 to 4 harnesses for my Golden Retriever. She is not good on a leash but is fabulous being 'free' when we take walks. (We don't live in a high traffic area) I wanted a no pull harness that would fit her and she wouldn't Houdini herself out of (that's why the other 3 went back), and because it is too dark so early now and not safe with out some reflective material. The moment I opened the box, I was in love. The color was perfect (teal), it is a nice material and works wonderful! I also purchased the matching reflective leash. My dog's measurement was 32' and went up a size XL and it fits perfect! It is so easy to put on and take off. Will be getting another one when my puppy is bigger.

Fit is great for our 100lb German Shepard. Easy to put on and adjust, handle is strong enough . Description is accurate. Harness is soft and flexible, doesn't bother dog at all. Very pleased with this harness, tried to avoid using any harness but we found we did need a bit more control of the dog since he's still a puppy .
Caleb
I LOVE this harness! It kept Cricket safe when I had to slam the brakes, it's comfortable, it's CUTE, it fits perfect. It's awesome. For reference, Cricket is a 4 month old, 17 lb Texas Heeler.Unfortunately, I left it where she could get it and she chewed one of the straps. Not enough to ruin it, but enough that it's frayed and looks awful now. I can't figure out how to contact the seller to see about possibly getting a replacement as I'm still well within my return period.
Candace
This is the best dog harness I have found and I have been through a lot of them over the past 40 yrs. It is very durable and hugs my dog very comfortably. Plus it is easy to get on/off. I did the measurements as directed, but the first one I ordered I had to send back as the fit was too snug even when I adjusted the extensions. I liked it so much I reordered it in the next size and it fit perfectly. I like the top grab handle and color choices, but best of all is the way it is made. Very sturdy. I would recommend this harness to others.
Lindsey Hunt
We love this harness! It was affordable and adjusts to fit both our larger dogs very well. I ordered an XL for our 80lb German Shepard mix, and it does adjust down to fit our 60lb hound too, but I will be ordering him a Large size of his own since we like this one so much. The reflectors are highly visible, it seems to be comfy and sturdy, and its much easier on my body and shoulders when the leash is on the back clasp than with just a leash or plain strap harness. We tried half a dozen on the dog pictured at Petco and none fit well, then finally found this one. Definitely recommend!
Lola
I've bought four of these now for various dogs in my life. I'd give it ten stars if I could. They are adjustable to any dog and fit well. The design where you don't have to put the dog's legs through the holes is great, and the clips being on the top of the dog is ingenious. Dogs don't get tangled in the leash and it works great for dogs who pull. Wonderful product and well worth the few extra dollars.
Kayla
I have had my fair share of picking up harnesses for my fur babies, but all of them would get chewed, ripped, or would be too complicated to put on. These harnesses however, are the best harnesses I have come across!! They have helped to successfully leash train my dogs because they were big on walking me instead of me walking them! I have one for my chocolate lab and my golden retriever, and they love wearing them! I was amazed when I purchased the first one so I bought another! When I bought my second harness for my chocolate lab, I ordered the wrong size, but the company was very helpful in making sure I got the correct size with no hassle whatsoever! I have recommended these harnesses to my friends due to the quality and also the customer service I have recieved! I will continue to buy these harnesses from here on out.
Bri Richards
Our dog does not mind wearing this harness one bit. She actually gets excited to put it on because she knows that means we're going somewhere. It looks so cute on her and it's perfect for when we take her for a walk. I switched to the harness because she kept getting tangled up in her leash when we attached it to her collar. It's also great that it has a handle on the back so I can hold her easier if she tries to make a run for another dog.
Amanda L. Blackburn
We use this brand for both my dogs and have suggested it to friends as well. We feel like it has good security, however, if the dog tries to back out of it and you keep the leash tight, the dog can slip it. It's tough and durable and easy to wipe down after hiking or swimming. We use them daily for walks and they are still going strong. We also like that you can adjust the harness if the dog sheds a lot and body size changes (we have a rough collie who blows her coat three times a year).

Been on our Jack Russell for months now. Very well constructed. Comfortable (...or so I've been told), looks great. It doesn't show any signs of wear. Easy on, easy off. Was a little skeptical since I'm not familiar with this brand, but have been very happy with this purchase. The adjustment of the straps can be a bit fussy, but unless your hound's weight or size fluctuates wildly, you'll only need to do this once.

I had a horrible little walker. He'd pull, zigzag, not stay by my side. I refused to walk him anymore and made my husband do it. After much searching and reading, it came down to two choices, and this one was my second choice. I got a different one that turned out to be too clunky and returned it for this one.I am ecstatic to say what a simple little harness can do. My husband who is a non-believer these even work tried it out first and said he walks like a dream now. I didn't even believe what he was saying until I walked him myself and wow! He's not pulling, not zigzagging and walking by my side now. Amazing!

I ordered a large for my 70 lb dog. At first I thought it was too small, and was going to send it back. Then I realized I hadnt extended the straps all the way. They are different than regular backpack straps, so you just have to work with them and figure it out! Now I love the harness, although the anti- pull front clasp doesnt really stop her from pulling it just awkwardly shifts to the side and seems uncomfortable, so I just stick with the regular clasp on the back. I do love the handle for when I need to get a better grip though!

The hot pink makes it fashionable still for my little princess, but the thickness and sturdiness of the material makes me feel comfortable that she isn't going to slip out of my grasp. I purchased a hot pink harness for her as well and all though they weren't sold together, they look perfect together. I love switching to the harness rather than the collar when walking her as she isn't very collar happy and was always pulling against it despite continued training. The harness makes me happy that I'm not choking her! Very pleased with this harness plus the leash combo purchase!

Broke my arm walking my son's dog (long story, fractured humerus). Obviously he can really pull on a leash, very strong and not quite 2 years old. This harness works!!!!!! Walked him multiple times yesterday without any worry of him pulling me. Was a little disappointed that this harness didn't come with the double leash but fastened his single leash to front ring and as soon as he got too far ahead of me and was pulled sideways he stopped. A little difficulty adjusting the straps but once they were the right length, the harness went on without problems. He even seems to like it! Great purchase. Highly recommended.

This is a good product I've tried many other ones including the easy walk this one seems to stay pretty much where it supposed to stay and not twist around like the other ones do. Heavy duty I really didn't need one as heavy duty as this since my pup is only 11 pounds but it does what it supposed to do that's why I gave it a five star.
Christel Lopez-Berryman
Our pup's mom's most favorite harness. Ever. I have purchased three harnesses for my daughter's pup. Because the pup is Collie, Shiba Inu, her chest is larger than a medium sized dog, but smaller than a large dog. The chest side of the harness expands wonderfully to accommodate the difference between her chest and stomach. This harness is the one preferred for the pup since it was purchased. The other two languish in the corner because they don't fit right. Thank you so much for this product!
Kilee McHenry
Its a little big for my 4 month old shiba inu and I bought the smallest size, but shell grow into it; it just sags in the chest area. Shes still not too fond of the front clasp, but the back clasp still has really helped with her pulling. Also, she looks cute as HAAAAILLLLL in this harness guuuurrrrrl!
Amazon Customer
I'm so glad I bought this harness. It is very easy to adjust, the buckles are completely on top of fabric so they won't irritate your dog, the loops on the top of the harness and at the chest are in great locations for connecting a leash, the make of the harness is of good quality and in no way seemed to be bothersome or irritating to my dog. I love the handle feature on top. I bought this harness for running/ walking with my dog and thought that in some situations the handle would be great if I had to drag my dog out of harm's way.
Tina Harrell
This baby fit like a glove. My pup is adopted so I am not sure of her breed but the guesses are Pit/Chihuahua mix. She's just over a year and weighs 30 lbs. I am super happy and I can tell she loves it too. I bought this one and one other to try different ones. I would have bought another one to have a extra if I didn't buy the other one I got. LOVE IT!!!

This fits perfectly for our 98 pound German Shepard and of course we had to purchase the XL size and wow it fits the fatty. With having the reflective included in the harness allows me to see him running in the back of the house during the nighttime. I love having the additional tug loop on top to pull him back when he is not acting properly and the material is very sturdy and don't feel like it will tear. Totally recommend this to anybody!!

Update: after almost two years Im getting a new one (same product) due to a minor tear - I was incredibly impressed with how well this harness did with all the wear it got in two years! Why I love this product:1. Its durable; Ive had it for over 3 months and it still looks brand new2. Its easy to hook her leash to3. Its adjustable so i could make it smaller or bigger around my puppys neck and belly so she cant slip her arms out of it4. Its great for training, especially when you have a dog who pulls so hard they chock themselves. My dog was much more comfortable and was able to train how to walk nicer with this harness!

After exhaustive research including youtube videos, testimonials, professional trainers' recommendations, etc. I was confident I had selected the perfect harness for our eighty pound rescue. This guy is 'turbo dog' and I'm thrilled for a number of reasons why the SafePet TrueLove harness was the best choice for us.One reviewer who runs a dog sled team was very meticulous and unbiased in her review and when the harness arrived I realized how accurate her assessment was. The materials used, the all important stitching and closures, the highly reflective material sewed into the body of the harness and the ergonomics of the True Love harness didn't disappoint one bit.I love the fact that you can attach your lead to either the chest area or the back and that gives you additionally flexibility in maintaining proper control while training your partner. Full disclosure...I only used a harness prior to this for medical reasons so this was a new experience and I feel like I nailed it!Our new boy loves it when I easily slip the harness over his head and then quickly and effortlessly snap the two closures around his torso. It takes less than ten seconds every time I put it on. I let him run loose inside our two fenced in acres before and after every leashed walk and when I do that at night and flash my headlamp in his direction the reflective material instantly signals his location. I can only imagine what peace of mind someone would have if their dog ever got loose at night and at least they'd know how visible the reflective harness is. I've also attached a small blinker light on one of the metal rings for added visibility.Lastly, but equally important the customer service of this company was superb. There was a manufacturing issue with the sizing on some of the harnesses and that's why some of the reviewers complained about their harness fit. I contacted the SafePet TrueLove company directly and they were incredibly responsive and rectified the sizing confusion in record time.If I could give this entire experience from product to support six stars I surely would.

I have a Shichon who is a puller. He even jerks the leash. I have tried different leashes and harnesses to no avail. This one actually works when you attach the leash to the front of the chest. When he wants to lead, once he goes the length of the leash, he gets the message. He was discouraged from pulling and figured it out quickly. The harness is sturdy yet well padded for the dogs comfort. The key is making sure the harness is not too loose or too tight. I like that it has a handle by which to grab a hold of your dog. This is a nice feature when you may need to remove your dog from potential harm. Once at the dog park, a dog snapped and I had to get my dog away from it quickly. A handle like this is definitely handy. My only complaint is that I wish the handle was positioned higher up on the harness to make it easier to simply pick him up like luggage instead of only being useful to pull him backward.I like the color (teal) and the coordinated leashes which I purchased in the two lengths. I use the shorter leash for crowded spaces and the longer leash for our walks where he has more freedom to explore. The reflective material is helpful when we walk in the evenings. Also, the leash construction appears durable but I havent had them very long to accurately judge. My dog has chewed through a leash before but I doubt he could easily chew through these. Another plus: the harness and leash look rather stylish on my pup.

Heavy-duty, COMFORTABLE harnesses that stand up to wear and tear without making your beloved dog take the brunt of that wear and tear. Plenty of padding and gel in the right spots to prevent rope burn and pinched skin. That being said, these are highly adjustable and with a clip between the shoulder blades up top and on the breastbone (great for avid pullers like mine) these leashes truly works regardless of your dog's training state. Very happy with this SECOND PURCHASE (for the second dog) 8 MONTH APART, hold up to all kinds of weather and washing and are always looking like you just ordered them (if you keep them clean). They're nice and reflective at night and the little rubber tag that holds the dog's tags is STURDY. My fear is that that little sucker would pop off and goodbye all kind of stuff. Got this color to replace the exact same model he had in orange for over a year. Never had a single issue. Mama's just changing up his color scheme. Buy with confidence! Customer service is also A+++

I bought this harness to help my 16 year old golden retriever move around easier. He can wear this harness all the time as his 'collar'. There is a handle on the top of the harness so I can grip it and help my dog walk. I previously purchased a sling that can go under the dog's belly with two handles on each end to help with walking but my dog was unhappy with the sling (he wouldn't budge) which is why I tried this harness. This will solve my problem. I ordered the size Large but needed to exchange it for an Extra Large. The seller was extremely helpful with the size problem.

This is an awesome product!!! Used on a Chi/JRT 6mon old pup. Ordered the smallest size available and while it was a bit large, it served its purpose Used on hiking in Utah and pavement around the block. Really stops pulling especially for world curious puppies that want to go everywhere. Prefer the front tether vs the one on the back. Keep in mind you still need to train the pup to stop pulling and to stay beside you using positive reinforcement. Dont leave the harness on too long. Otherwise there will be redness on the armpit area of the front legs. For the price, this definitely is worth a buy over brand name harnesses. The padding is soft and tethers are solidly built into the harness. Color purple is nice and aesthetically pleasing and the reflectors are another added feature.

I have purchased several different dog harnesses for more money but they were hard to adjust and confusing in figuring how they fit on the dogs. Other harnesses I've had to put on two-three times to get them on correctly. The SafePet has four straps for adjusting around the neck and around the ribcage. All four straps are easy to adjust. I only have to look at the harness once and I can immediately see which way the harness goes on. I have found the SafePet size to be fairly exact. The harnesses I bought were for medium-sized dogs. My dogs weigh 40 and 45 lbs and are medium build (approx. 20' and 23' around the neck and approx. 22' and 24' around the rib cage). Both of my dogs are full grown and I didn't need to allow for growing room. If they had not been full-grown, a size large would have been a better fit. The quality of the material is high and I expect these harnesses will last a long time. The only suggestion I have for the mfg. is supply a greater choice of colors. I have two female dogs and I liked the pink put would have liked another feminine color like gold or purple.

Very nice harness!! I like that it has the front clip so you can train them to not pull, if that's an issue. The color is awesome. I'm glad I splurged for this! It's sturdy and my 35 lb Corgi doesn't mind being in it at all. The size was perfect too. Very utilitarian and just what I need.

Its arrived so fast! Its safe, stylist, so bright at night that was a new one for me, my dog Mia loves it and it allows me to have better control of her! This was the best price I could find and I loved the fact that they had so many colors to chose from

My first Amazon review! This harness is a total game-changer! My dog is an 80 lb, 3 year-old pitbull mix who pulls when she wants something. She occasionally will lunge toward a chicken bone, etc. if she comes across something tasty on the street. But with this harness, she can't do that. She literally can't. Pulling causes her to become imbalanced and turn into me, lifting her leg off the ground.I didn't realize how much anxiety I carried while walking her because I had to be on alert in case she lunged towards something but now I don't have that problem at all and can truly enjoy our time outside together. And now her fur is starting to grow back under her front legs where it was being rubbed by her previous harness because there's almost no pressure on her from this harness. All-around solid investment. Really high quality materials and nice to have the handle on top in case I ever need to use it.

This was a really good harness. It was just a little too bulky for my fat chihuahua girl. It was difficult to get it on and off her because she has a short fat neck. I think for most dogs it would be a better fit if they weren't short fat like my girl is. As she started to out grow this harness the next one I bought through Amazon was less bulky and seems to be more comfortable for her especially around her arm pits and her fat neck. This collar is very strong and well made. It would be perfect for more robust dogs that really pull hard. It was a beautiful harness but kind of over kill for my short fat little chihuahua.

I recently foster failed a 100+lb lab/pitbull mix that had 0 leash manners. he pulled, he yanked, he would try to run full speed ahead very nearly taking my arm with him. I dreaded walking this adorable beast because he was SO enormous and his whole body was just muscle. He would pull so hard he would be choking and it just broke my heart because i didnt know how to fix it. So I googled ways to get large dogs to stop pulling and this harness popped up. I ordered it and within the first 10 minutes of our first walk with it on, he was in a heel position walking right next to me. I honestly couldnt believe it. No pulling, no choking, no yanking, just casually trotting along right next to me. Buy it if youre having an issue with your big (or small) dog pulling you all over your neighborhood. its a lifesaver. Its also highly reflective so walking at night is even safer for you & your pooch.

This no pull harness has changed my dog walking life. Love it so much!! My dog is 25 lbs and has lots of energy. Therefore she pulls the whole walk. No matter how fast i walk, she walks faster!! A regular collar slips off her head when she pulls due to the shape of her head and she HATED that no pull strapy thing that goes on her snout. We finally found a choke collar and that helped a lot BUT she still pulled. Finally after my arm started hurting from her pulling on our everyday walks of 3 to 4 miles I searched and found this no pull harness. I love it so much!! She seems to like it too. I pull it out and she gets excited because she knows were going for a walk. Stands there while i put it over her head and then buckle both sides. And NO more pulling...I am finally walking my dog versus my dog walking me!!

Bought the red and teal of these (as well as the matching leashes in the 78') for our pooches (a flat coat retriever mix and a beagle/lab mix), and they are working beautifully! Our flat coat is hard to buy a harness for; he has a broad chest but is quite skinny everywhere else, so most harnesses fit him oddly, but this was so adjustable, it worked perfectly. It's even helped with our beagle/lab, who has the beagle nose, but lab size. He's been walking much better using this! And I love the reflectors. They don't stand out too much when it's daytime (which is a good thing; it just looks like a slight design), but they are perfect at night! These are more than comparable to another, much more expensive harness company, and I am more than pleased with these.

I have two big dogs who wear these. They are great. The handle on the back is so helpful. The front ring for the leash does help with pulling a little. Mine are also puppies still that just could run all day. I notice as time passes the ring on the front makes more of a difference.

This is the second one we bought, not because the first one broke, but because my dog out grew it! These are the sturdiest dog harnesses I have ever used. They're easy to put on, easy to adjust, and built to last. We have puppies (that means teething) so any harness we got from PetCo didn't last more than a week or two. And we refuse to pay the ridiculous amount they want for the 'Heavy Duty' kind. If you're looking for a very durable long lasting harness this is the way to go. You won't regret it. By the way it's super easy to wash as well!

Did alot of research before I got this haulter, months. And I finally decided on this one. I have to say my pet and I are pleased. I have had other haulters that kept chafing her inner armpits. And this haulter does not do that. The padding is good too. Shes about 60lbs, she is a Pitt/Whippet mix. I got a Large and it fit great after I adjusted it to her body. I do not use the front clip as I feel I dont have enough control by using it. She is a puller. After using it a few months no damage yet but after alot of usage anything can wear. She cant wait to get her haulter on for walks. The handle on haulter is also a great feature as it allows for more control when needed. Hope this helps other pet owners who are shopping, as I used others reviews for my final decision.

I hardly ever leave reviews, most things I purchase are just mediocre and simply serve their purpose. This harness though is the BEST I have ever purchased. Well worth the price, quality materials, excellent design. I use the front attach loop for walking my headstrong Boston Terrier puppy, and he walks so politely and our walks are such a joy instead of a sled dog race. This harness had an unexpected benefit as well, it seems to work to help with separation anxiety for him too. Perhaps because the design has more coverage? Either way, we love it, and he looks forward to putting on, coming forward and putting his head right in! Thanks for a great product.

I honestly can't think of anything I would have done different for this product. The choice of materials and build are top notch. All the details are thought through (little fabric garage for the front attach point when not used, the handle on the back, the reflective piping, the buckles that are the right size for the job....). The sizing chart worked perfectly for my 65-pound shep-mix. I coupled this with a waist leash, and it is working far better than I ever thought it would. My dog has no problem with putting it on and taking it off, but if you had a fussy dog, that part could be rough. The part that goes over the head is adjustable, but no clips. so it must be made tight enough to work while on the dog, and loose enough to fit over the head. Somewhat of a compromise. But like I said, works great for us. I worried that the low price would be sub-standard quality. And I was wrong. This thing is far nicer than I expected, and I'm pretty picky. Hell, we eve like the purple color. Just a super product.

My review looks negative at first, but read to the end; Its a great harness for a 10 1/2 year old dog with lipomas under her arms! Definitely Recommend!I originally bought the XS for my deer head chihuahua and she shouldve had an inch to spare when the harness is let out all of the way in the ribs, but sadly as she has become more barrel-chested with age, it just didnt hit her in the right spot underneath, hooking the tail end of her rib cage (as pictured), which also made it pull tighter across the top of her back and I couldnt really pull / adjust it a certain way to help that. The material is sturdy & a good quality, though slightly stiff, however, that doesnt pose a problem as it is still very much flexible and comfortable when fitted for the right size.It fit perfectly in the neck (in the picture its actually let out all the way to show how much extra space there is).And finally, the reason I first wanted to buy this harness was because she has painful lipomas under her arms and I love how the side straps dont come up anywhere near her underarms. My dog doesnt look too pleased in the pictures, but shes always that way and thinks Im being strange when I take pictures of her, lol, so just ignore her.The seller offered to help fix the sizing problem I had and has been extremely helpful & responsive.Once I have the small one for her, due to how close the XS was to fitting, I can tell its going to be a great harness for her and her lipoma problems.

The harness seem to be small for the sizes indicated from the advertisement. When the Dogwood stop, and I would pull slightly forward the Holter would pull to the top of the dog's head. I believe the size maybe a bit small. But with the advertisement we are not permitted to return it if it was on the dog. How else would you know if it would be correct. I would hesitate Pryor to ordering. After the review, the company was nice enough to rectify our problem. I respect their decision.

This is a great harness! It's super easy to put on, take off and adjust. I did have to adjust the large almost all the way out for my 80lb Doberman, and was worried it would still be too small, but it actually fits her perfectly! It just arrived today, but it seems very sturdy. The handle and front clip are nice touches.Bonus: I was able to find a matching leash and collar (which we're still waiting on) in the same brand/nylon mesh and reflective material.

Seems very good, connection rings are plastic so I question that, why would you not use steel?

Looks ( & I can tell it feels better than her old harness) on my female Rottie. I got the purple XL, and she still has room. Easy to slip on and off. She is a known puller and that has eased off quite a bit with this harness. It does reflect, fits her comfortably, nice handle on the back for close control, very deep purple to match her collar & tag. Beautiful, well designed. Would definitely buy again. I am ordering a pink one for our Doxie! Will update if I have any issues. ____

I never knew about the no pull latch on the front of the harness until I was reading reviews to find the best harness for my new pit pup. She pulls like crazy and Im constantly stopping and making her sit to not pull. That is until I got this new harness. I read a gala story about her dog being a puller and the ring on the front of the chest deters them from pulling because it makes them pull to the side. Im like what the heck its worth a shot. We received our harness and my first notice was how sturdy it is. Second was the ease of placing the harness on my dog. My final review was how well it did in deterring my pup from pulling. INCREDIBLE!!!!!We didnt even get 5 feet and she slowed down due to the pull. I was in disbelief so we picked up the pace. Once again she kept her pace with me not pulling on the leash.Im a believer. I also love that this harness has enough room for my dog to grow into it and its durable enough to last.

My puppy was about 8 lbs when she was actually 'big enough' to wear this harness. She slipped out of it once, but I attribute it to user error, I had not properly adjusted it.She now 12-1/2 lbs and the harness still seems to fit her nicely. I pondered she might outgrow it, but at one year old it still fits. This product is well made and she seems quite comfortable in it. We receive many inquiries and compliments. The little handle on the back came in handy a couple times for reaching down and plucking her up and out of danger/trouble.I am ready to buy the next size up if she should mature out of it...but so far, so good.

I have a 10 lb dachshund and finally found the front leash attachment used to train her from pulling when walking her that actually fit. I had to pull straps to the smallest settings to get it to fit. After using two times, she stopped pulling while walking. I use the top attachment most of the time now. I have had to use front attachment when walking around other dogs or when grandchildren are with me.

I have a french bull dog mix and needed a heavy duty harness. This is exactly what I was looking for. Easy to put on . I had bought other harnessss that fell apart. It also has a reflector on it so you can see in the dark. Even my dog likes it. He fetches for it when we are getting ready for a walk. Love it !

We have two miniature velociraptor puppies. That's not what the breeder called them.. They called them miniature pinschers. Pinscher is German for biter. What is German for dog who rips things to shreds? These harnesses are great. They're padded and comfortable. The leash attaches on the top rather than on the collar much better for the dog. And I they have handles so I can pick up the little velociraptor whenever he is trying to harass the cat or bite the hand that feeds him, etc. I like the color coding. We have one blue one for one dog and one red one for his brother. They have been unable to eat each other's harness or get out of their own harness.

Ok my 60 lb boxer mix pulled like crazy. I started off with a collar and since she pulled so much, it was choking her, but she never stopped pulling. I then went to a harness, not this one but another one, which did not clip in front but only on top. Well needless to say, this also didnt stop her from pulling and the strap across her neck/chest area was also choking her.I was frustrated, but then I read the reviews for this harness and had hope. This harness worked like a charm. She doesnt pull for the most part anymore with the leash clipped in the front. I do get a little nervous when she tries to pull as Im scared shes going to trip because of the position of the front clip, but it works. Its very pleasant on our evening walks now. I definitely recommend.A note on the sizes. I read the reviews and went with a large but that was way too snug on my little girl, so I went with an XL. This size is perfect for her.

I spent a lot of time searching for a good harness and Im happy with this choice. We have a 28 lb chihuahua mix (closer in size to a big terrier or beagle). We went with a medium, based on the measurements, their chart for this seems accurate. This harness is very easy to put on, we simply slip the opening over her head then click the two straps into place under her belly. Much less of a struggle than her old harness and its on in a few seconds. Its very sturdy, both in the straps, and the rings you click onto, which are metal instead of plastic. I think its more likely my retractable leash would break than anything on this harness. The chest and back both have padding, so if I had to really pull her hard I dont think it would hurt her, the force would be well distributed. There is a ring on the front, if you want to clip your dog front facing. The deep purple is also pretty stylish. Overall love this harness and Im sure it will last us years. Its heavy duty but not insanely heavy like some hiking harnesses that is resembled at Petco.

I cannot say enough good things about this harness. My Great Dane puppy is 3 months old, ~50 pounds, and is far too big to pick up and carry when he's caught being a typical puppy. The handle on the back of this harness has been a game changer in our household. We can now control the dog with one hand while cleaning up/fixing the chaos he's caused with the other. Those who give this harness bad reviews for not being able to figure out how to tighten/loosen it must have lived in caves their whole lives. The method of tightening and loosening it is no different than any other harness ever. The difference is the quality. This harness is well made and can withstand what my baby boy has to throw at it. It is so finely adjustable that it fits flush to his body versus his previous harness that would gap so he could get a hold on it to chew. He can't get ahold of this one at any point. He wears it at all times (except when in his crate, of course). If I had to offer a design suggestion to the company, I would suggest one side of the neck part have a small buckle like the abdomen part. Pulling the harness over the head of a puppy who has ginormous ears and a much smaller diameter neck was a challenge at first. However, we've since discovered that if we turn the harness inside out as we pull it off him, we can easily get it over his big ole ears without issue.I highly recommend this harness for rambunctious puppies and adult dogs alike. It's awesome for leash training, especially with the clip point on the front for training not to pull. Awesome product!

Ordered 2 of these in size Small for our two dachshunds and, despite that this is a very well-made harness, we had to return them. We need a harness to accommodate strong pullers, and I suspect this harness would have been good on that front. My review is directed toward fit and bulk, which may be helpful to other buyers. Our dachshunds are trim and fit, in the 18 lb. range and measuring approx. 12-13' at the neck and 17-18' around the chest. Dog #1 has a deeply-pitched sternum, which made the harness impossible to fit, as it kept sliding, no matter what the adjustments. The harness fit Dog #2 just fine. However, even then, it was just too bulky a fit, and that was the case on both dogs. It was the equivalent of putting a heavy flak jacket or Mr. T bling on a beanpole of a guy. Not only did it look out of proportion, it compelled Dog #2, who seemed otherwise comfortable with the harness, to walk oddly to accommodate the underarm bulk. I read that doxies can be difficult to fit in a harness, and I now see why. I hope this review will be helpful to other doxie owners considering this harness.

these are AMAZING halters. i bought my first several months ago and when i got my second boxer, i bought my second. i actually chose the teal for both because its a really pretty and not often seen color. i always get compliments on it. the other day at the dog park, there was a couple with two dogs who purchased the red and the green. these halters are so sturdy. theres a handle on top for you to hold your dog by your side if needed. i love how easy one and off it is. because it has some heft to it, it doesnt lose shape while youre putting it on. its easy to tell the top from the bottom, you just slip it over their head. no lifting paws to get into the holes. just clip the sides together and done.

I've bought many dog harnesses in my time. These are the best ones I've ever used. They are highly reflective, durable, and the straps don't slide loose between uses. Other harness I've bought need readjusted all the time to stay fitted to the dog. These also are able to bed hooked from the front which for me, is the easiest way to keep the dogs from pulling.

We have just used this once, so I have limited info so far but....on our maiden 4 mile walk, the harness seems to fit well without chaffing my husky, Yuki, and I am happy that she is more easily thwarted if she sees a rabbit or squirrel on the run. She walks with me quite well until that happens and if I don't see the critter before she does, she can and has pulled me off balance. She has filled in since she was a pup and I have lost weight, so I need an advantage for the occasional mad take off. The front hook DOES give me that advantage even when she is at the longer end of her retractable leash. SHE is less enchanted and seemed to look at me quite forlornly when I pulled her around so quickly and easily, but I am quite pleased. I would prefer the front attachment piece be metal instead of plastic? whatever material it is, and may try to find a way to back that up with some kind of connector thing between the harness and her collar. She is 55 lb, but I am not sure what the ring in the front is made of or what weight it is rated for. The attachment gadget on her back seems more durable to me. I like the handle on the back as well, and look forward to many safer miles of walking with my favorite walking partner!

Rusty is an 11lb angry bag of pure meat.He can go zero to MACH 3 in 2.8 seconds, and change directions on a dime.He once single handedly took on the neighborhood 40lb beagle, was winning, until the beagle simply picked him up by the ear..If you have a vicious creature like Rusty, this harness is definitely for you.So, he was right on the edge of XS/S.I ordered the XS and still have some room to expand a bit. This is well made. Point blank, and you can tell. Sturdy buckles, well padded and supportive for when he runs out of leash and gets whiplash. (Not kidding.)Love it.. ordering a back up harness, and one for my lazy dog.. will be nice to be able to grab them by the handle when needed.. a must have.

I wanted the pink one for my white husky, but didn't want to wait (I understand why they were on backorder) and settled for the red one. Was not disappointed. First off, this is simply the best harness for your buck. The reflective pattern is great for the night walks as it reflects everything, even camera flashes. The harness is also built like a tank (I have a husky, remember?). But the absolute best part is the handle. It's great for when she's being rambunctious or uncooperative and you just need to lead her somewhere. And when she sometimes escapes, it's simply a must-have since you can sometimes grab her by the handle if you have to chase after. Most of all, she's comfortable and it's so much safer and better for her than any collar or other harnesses.Hands down, the best harness I've seen in this price range and my dog is always comfortable. I'd recommend this to anyone. Also the sizing chart was perfect. I selected the perfect size for my 6 month Husky - it fits perfectly with enough room for her to grow into it.

bought one to test out on one of our dogs that is a monster puller. fitting can be a bit of trial and error and a bit of a pain (especially if your dog has long fur) but once you find the balance between how tight neck and chest should be you're good to go. it's easy to put on once you have everything adjusted right.i got this harness after looking for other solutions for a strong pulling dog and a chest attached leash seemed to be a good option. when shopping around for a harness, i kinda had a laundry list of criteria. i wanted it to function not only as a no pull harness but a regular tracking harness that attaches to the back. in addition to having two points of control, i wanted a harness that i could use with a walkie dog system or for loose lead training. i wanted something in a high visibility color, or even better reflective. there are times when our only option is to walk our dogs at night (texas summer, ugh) and wanted some additional safety. this thing meets all that criteria.it worked out pretty darn well for our first dog that i got another for our other dog. he doesn't have pulling problems but i like that they but have very functional high visibility vests now.
Luz
Pretty good product and great value. Well-constructed, feels sturdy but still lightweight enough for casual walks. Larger chest piece seems to make for a more comfortable walk. I have a 56 lb pitbull, for reference. It should, however, be noted that I measured my dog's chest and at 27 inches the sizing guide suggested a Large, which was too small, even at its largest. I exchanged for an X-Large, which she is barely big enough for. She wears it almost at its smallest. Maybe my dog is just a weird in-between size. If your dog has similar lean/athletic build with a deep-chest, I would size up.

Miracle worker for a sweet, 3-4yr old 66lb lab/shepherd mix rescue that thinks she's training for the Iditarod whenever she's on leash. She PULLS like a Clydesdale. It took less than half a street and maybe five corrections on the leash for her to walk in a perfect heel position with this harness on. It's AMAZING!!!!I got the L harness in the vibrant hot pink fuchsia shade, and it's gorgeous. Adjusting the straps took a bit of work---she's deep chested with a long torso, 30' girth, so I really had to open up the neck and girth straps for it to fit properly. The color shows up beautifully against her black coat, and the reflective threading DOES work (but it will probably be obscured if your dog has long fur). Some background on my dog: She's got high energy, a high prey drive, and she's dog reactive following being attacked twice by off-leash canines. If another dog is in sight or within earshot, she likes to postion herself in front of me, and she doesn't want to let up that protective stance until she's convinced the other dog isn't a threat. With standard collars, she'd sound like she was on the verge of choking herself out from pulling so hard. Back attachment harnesses were better for her health, but still allowed her to pull. Leash boss handled leashes spared my palms and rotator cuffs some agony, and made her pulling more controllable--but didn't stop the behavior. Unfortunately, I have medical conditions that prevent me from being able to safely use correction collars and halters like the Gentle Leader, martigale collars, prong collars, or slip leads, and I don't know enough about e-collars to feel comfortable with using my dog as a guinea pig until I figured it out.She had absolutely NO leash manners when I got her, and aside from the momentary relief provided by verbal corrections and/or a leash tug, I could always count on having a daily 'battle of the block' before she calmed down enough to heel. She's very, very sweet, and eager to please---she just has tons of energy, I don't have a fenced in yard, and as much as I would love to take her for a run, I'm physically incapable of it.This harness succeeded in getting her into a perfect, persistent heel within a minute a half. She remained heeling during our maiden walk even when it started to rain, even when someone knocked over a 60lb trashcan on the curb in front of us, even when another dog decided to do some fence chasing and raise a ruckus howling and charging the wooden posts, and even when two other dogs across the street started lunging, snarling, and barking their heads off at her as their owner walked them.If your dog is a reactive 'puller' you have an idea of what a miracle that is.

Great features on this easy-to-put-on harness make it a real winner! Most harnesses are difficult to put on a squirmy puppy. Some require you to thread the dog's legs through first. Some allow the dog to walk out of the front. No problems with this one! You first place the harness on the dogs back, then reach under the dog, grasp the clips and click them closed on top. I've been a dog trainer and multiple dog owner for a long time; finally this harness makes my job easier. A harness is better for young pups than a training collar. But finding a good one is not easy. I love the bright reflective color, the two sturdy leash clips (I use the one on top), and the handle on top to redirect the dog in a pinch. I've paid twice as much for a lesser quality harness. This is a keeper. I intend to order one for my older dog who tends to lunge during walks and a couple other sizes for my pup Steve who is shown in this picture.
